Al Mawaddat was founded as a patronage to KSISAM, a Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Students Group that coordinates the
affairs of all students studying in Malaysia from the Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri background.
As a non-profitable convention the primary purpose of providing a base whereby students and/or visitors may
interact, keep in contact, seek and provide guidance and assistance from each other, organise gatherings, thereby
sustaining one of the most important concept in Islam taught by our prophets and fourteen Infallibles – UNITY
The name 'Al Mawaddat' was inspired from an ayat of the Noble Quran where Allah (S.W.T) tells the Holy Prophet
(S.A.W):
Where Allah (S.W.T) instructs the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) to tell his people, "Say: No reward do I ask of you for this
except the love of those near of kin". (Surah Ash-Shura, Ayah 23).
The objectives of the Al Mawaddat are as follows:
