Muharram 1433 Majlis-e-Azaa Programme
Dear brothers and sisters,

Salaamun Alaikum,

As we approach the Islamic year end, we prepare ourselves for the commemoration of the Ultimate Sacrifice made by
our Imam Husayn (AS) and his family on the 10th day of Muharram 1,372 years ago on the plains of Karbala in Iraq.
The sacrifice that saved Islam from being distorted by the cruel regime of the Bani Ummayya.

Al-Mawaddat Centre in Kuala Lumpur has been hosting the commemorations of Ashura every year for the students
and residence of the Khoja Shia Ithna Asheri community in and around Kuala Lumpur. It is the objective of the
management of Al-Mawaddat Centre to organise the events of the Muharram and Safar programmes in the most
organised, timely, convenient and safe manner, yet maintaining the original purpose of Azadari.
