Proposed Al Mawaddat Complex
Patronage to Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Students at Malaysia

The Proposed Development of Al Mawaddat Complex is a fully fledged social cum business complex comprising of
convention halls, guest houses, shop lots and a restaurant. The first stage of development includes the construction
of conventional halls with a total seating capacity of 300 (200 for the Gents Section and 100 for the Ladies Section), 5
units of guest rooms on a single storey building complete with basic furnishings, and a ‘Ghusl Khana’, and is expected
to be completed within six to twelve months on a plot of 5 acre.

The Second Stage includes the construction of shop lots and restaurant, and thereafter a second storey on the guest
house building for additional 5 guest rooms / apartments.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the intended development are as follows:
  1. Provide a suitable and convenient gathering facility for the increasing number students of the KSI community
    pursuing education in Malaysia.
  2. Provide a foundation as a factor for consideration of possible migration by KSI community member to Malaysia
    for business and retirement.
  3. Provide short, medium and long-term accommodation facilities at reasonable rates for KSI community members
    during their stay in Kuala Lumpur.

The Proposed Complex

To see a fully fledge Islamic Centre in Kuala Lumpur is a dream of many individuals in the KSI Community. With
recommendations from various members of the KSI Community, the project convenors have taken the initiative to draw
up the preliminary plan for the establishment of the envisioned Islamic Centre.

The plan is involves:
1.        Acquisition of a 5 acre piece of land in a Kuala Lumpur City.
2.        Construction of a building with convention halls and furnished guest rooms and Ghusl Khana as follows:
a.        Gents Section: 1,080 sf. Seating Capacity 200 people.
b.        Ladies Section: 536 sf. Seating Capacity 100 people.
c.        Kitchen: 390 sf.
d.        5guest rooms: 185 sf each. Each room includes a bathroom.
e.        Office Room: 215 sf.
f.         Ghusl Khana (standalone block): 160 sf
